The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾'s Berkeley Committee convened an expert panel to discuss the legal and economic implications of the dozens of lawsuits challenging the legality of generative AI technologies, with developers accused of training their systems on copyrighted content. The discussion was hosted to help increase understanding about the technologies, their related legal issues, and the consequences of these lawsuits for users, copyright owners, and the technologies.
