Education and the Development of Knowledge

The Education program shapes policy and proposes practices to advance high-quality educational opportunities for all. Drawing on the Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s proximity to higher education, we engage leaders and experts to discuss societal impact and showcase the Â鶹´«Ã½Íøվ’s work. Our focus is on advancing equity, integrating developments in learning and technology, and exploring the future of work. Through commissions, projects, convenings, and publications, we apply an interdisciplinary approach to the creation, transfer, and preservation of knowledge across society.

The Higher Education Forum

The Forum, a collaboration of higher education leaders and scholars, launched in 1984 and moved to the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ in 2022. The Higher Education Forum is an opportunity for the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ to provide leadership and learning on pressing issues in higher education with a cross-disciplinary and cross-sector approach that draws on the strengths of its members and Affiliates.

Commission on the Future of Undergraduate Education

Drawing from national leaders in education, business, and government, this commission analyzed the current state of undergraduate education and offers recommendations to improve the quality of student learning, increase college completion rates, and ensure all students have access to an affordable postsecondary education.
