Sir David is a highly accomplished British historian and author who specializes in modern history and the history of business and philanthropy. He has been the Dodge Professor of History at Princeton University, a Visiting Professor of History at Oxford University, and the editor of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. He is now the President of the British Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. Sir David has served as a trustee of the Wolfson Foundation, the Royal Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾, the Library of Birmingham, the Rothschild Archive, the Gladstone Library and the Gordon Brown Archive. He makes frequent appearances on radio and television in the UK.
