Professor Peter G. Wolynes is the Bullard-Welch Foundation Professor of Science and Professor of Chemistry at Rice University. Formerly, Wolynes was the James R. Eiszner Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Francis H.C. Crick Chair of Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego. His research is broadly concerned with many-body phenomena in biology, chemistry and physics. He is a member of the National Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ of Sciences and the German Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ of Sciences Leopoldina. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, the Biophysical Society, the American Philosophical Society, and Foreign Member of the Royal Society and the Indian National Science Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾. In 2012, he received the ACS Award in Theoretical Chemistry.
